High blood pressure is a serious medical condition, if left untreated It can increase your risk of developing other health conditions such as heart attacks, stroke & kidney disease. Unfortunately currently there are over four million people in the UK that have high blood pressure (also know as hypertension) and do not know it because often you don’t always get symptoms with high blood pressure.
GPs & Pharmacists across Birmingham & Solihull are working together to deliver a new service offering BP checks in local pharmacies for our population. If you are over 40 and don’t already have a diagnosis of high blood pressure you can visit one of your local participating pharmacies for a blood pressure check (your GP may also refer you to this service).
